Tablets: Empowering customers and freeing employees

Digital solutions and touch points help retail banks bring their brand to life in their branch locations—bridging the digital with the physical. The use of tablets in branches, either as self-serve tablets for customers or in the hands of retail bankers, has proliferated. In this session, we’ll look at how tablets in banks can be used to engage customers, provide a more personalized experience, provide on-the-spot assistance, increase efficiencies, and generate cost-savings for branches.

Mitchell Goss is the co-founder and vice president of sales and operations of Zero-In. He studied accounting and information systems at Lehigh University. Mitch is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), formerly with KPMG Accounting & Consulting. He has 15-plus years of financial services experience and is a NY State Entrepreneur of the Year recipient.

Sergio Magalhães | Director of Branch of the Future Department | Millennium bcp

Sergio Magalhães has more than 20 years of experience leading development teams and IT Departments in MillenniumBCP, a multinational bank, based in Portugal which is leader in innovation and customer experience. Since 2015 he is the Head of the Branch of The Future Department that is responsible for Branch Transformation projects, connecting the physical and the digital worlds, delivering the best customer experience. He oversaw the development of a new customer-oriented branch concept, now present in more than 30 locations in Portugal and with innovation features available in all 600+ branches of Millennium bcp in Portugal.

Tobi Schneidler | CEO | Bouncepad

Tobi Schneidler is the founder of Bouncepad, and the inventor of the tablet kiosk. His commercial design work for clients like Barclays Bank and Vodafone focused on emerging digital interactions in stores, to then lead to the launch of Bouncepad as a product business. He studied architecture, to then research technology’s impact on commercial spaces. His work was presented at SFMoMA and the Science Museum in London. He also taught at the Royal College of Art in London and the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Bouncepads are now used around the world, to make venues more relevant and connected in the digital age.
